At the age of 6, I joined a local dance school and started taking part in classes on a Saturday morning, where my love for dance began! I originally started dancing as a way to boost my confidence but I gradually progressed to participate in 3 full evenings a week along with performing in annual shows and competitions – this is when I realised dance wasn’t just a hobby for me, it was my life!
I stayed with the dance school for many years, completing examinations with UTD (United Teachers of Dance) & BTDA (British Theatre Dance Association) in Ballet, Tap & Modern. From a young age I always knew that all I wanted to do was teach dance and allow children like me, to gain a love for dance. I knew that I wanted to take dance further, so along with my school studies I completed both GCSE & A-Level Dance.
After school, I went on to study at the University of Wolverhampton, gaining a BA(hons) degree in Dance. I then started training for my teaching qualifications with IDTA in which I gained my Associate Level teaching qualification.
I then relocated from the Midlands and opened up my dream dance school. I am pleased to offer and provide a fun environment for our dancers to grow and reach their full potential - giving everybody the same opportunity to shine. I want to put my passion for dance out there, in a hope to inspire children with dance the same way I was at their ages. I aim to build not just a dance school but one big dance family and to take all of my dancers to the next level.
